I put a K&N air filter in all my cars. When I replaced my 2000 Jeep Wranglers suffocating paper air filter I could tell it was breathing air much better. You can feel the diference right away. First off I got this next day when I asked for standard and the shipping was free, you cant beat that for service. The K&N Air Filter for my PT Cruiser is what I bought with the recharger kit which allows you to service the filter every 50k or so. Quite an improvement, car is more responsive, it even has a different sound under the hood. just finished the first fuel load with the filter installed and got 30 extra miles from it I think this is perhaps the cheapest mod that will give the greatest performance improvement for the amount paid and with the fuel savings as a plus

This is the foourth K&N air filter replacement filter i have owned in my life. Each has provided more power and better gas mileage than the factory filter or other after-market filters i have tried.My previous filter was in a 1999 dodge dakota v6 pickup that improved throttle response markedly and added 1.5 mpg. I have now put a K&N filter in a 2007 chevy cobalt 2.2 and noticed much better mid-range response without a downshift and my mileage appears to be about 2mpg better than with OEM.
