Rancho's RS9000XL adjustable shocks are designed with the demand of bigger trucks in mind. Rancho RS9000XL shocks are a beefy 2.75 inch wide in body diameter (most applications), with a tough 18mm diameter piston rod.
Encased in its liquid metallic body is nitrogen, known for its performance capability in shocks, and it is 9 way user adjustable (manual or remote tuning).
The Rancho RS9000X Pro-Series shock is unique in that it is a true hybrid design featuring a tri-tube mono-flow primary shock combined with a monotube remote reservoir. (A remote reservoir is a separate, gas-charged tube offering additional oil volume for the primary shock.) And with the monotube remote reservoir, you get increased oil volume (pressurized) will provide consistent damping over a longer period of continuous use. This configuration offers the best of all worlds in terms of comfort, control and adjustability, and is particularly appropriate for vehicles used in extended off-road driving situations. The remote reservoir design allows you to package more travel into the available space for the shock. Remote reservoirs shocks do, in fact, look cool.
