Tech Notes
To clean the filter, first brush off any large embedded dirt. Then spray on the K&N cleaner and let it soak for 10 minutes. Next, Rinse off the element with LOW pressure water. (Always flush from the clean side to the dirty side.) Then allow filter to dry NATURALLY. After filter has dried re-oil with K&N air filter oil only. Apply evenly to entire filter making sure to oil down into each pleat. Then re-install making sure the element seats properly in the filter case.
Description
K&N developed and manufactures a high-flow, washable filter that has been proven, again and again, to increase an engines performance. Oiled premium cotton gauze keeps dirt and debris on the outside of the filter to improve filtering efficiency. Hence, dust and dirt will not clog the filter element as quickly as it will paper and foam. The accordion fold design provides up to five times the filtering surface of non-pleated filters. You won't have to worry about moisture either, since it will not clog the oil-saturated element. Even after being completely wet, the filter won't need to be replaced. The cotton filter media is protected by an epoxy coated aluminum screen mesh that also straightens the air flow for increased air flow. K&N filters are easily cleaned and are backed by a Million Mile Limited Warranty.

You will not notice a power difference if that is what your looking for, gas usually is about 2-5 MPG difference so the filter WILL pay for itself. I am also using a tornado which helps for that little bit of boost and MPG as well. If you want power (10-20 HP and Torque, and a little bit better MPG than a filter) go for a cold air intake, if you want a filter that you do NOT have to replace and can get a little bit extra out of, give it a try. I hope this helps.

I love this air filter. I had some Fram crap before, and as soon as I installed the K&N unit I noticed a change in acceleration, and I actually get a little bit better gas mileage as well. I would reccomend this air filter to anyone looking for a good air filter w/o lokking to buy a full on ram air kit.

This direct replacment gives you a little better power and fuel economy but allowes you to NEVER have to buy another air filter which will just save money in the future.
